Why is my bitcoin purchase/sale/withdrawal ‘Pending’ or ‘Processed’?

‘Pending’ simply means it hasn’t been handled by our team yet. ‘Processed’ indicates that it has been handled, and we are now awaiting confirmation of some sort.

  • In the case of GBP funds being transferred in, this will always show as ‘Pending’ until it is received by Bitstocks.
  • In the case of GBP withdrawals requested by you, these will show as ‘Pending’ until instructions have been given to our bank to process these funds, and they have left our account. At this stage you will see the withdrawal as ‘Complete’, even if you may not see it in your personal bank account yet.
  • In the case of bitcoin deposits you transfer in, these will show as ‘Processed’ as soon as they are on the Bitcoin network, but will only be set to ‘Completed’ after 3 confirmations have been received (network dependent - but can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 3 hours).
  • In the case of bitcoin withdrawals, these will show as ‘Pending’ until they are securely signed by different members of our executive team, at which point they will show as ‘Complete’ (we don’t wait for confirmations on withdrawals).
  • In the case of a Buy trade, this will show as ‘Pending’ until the broker has executed the trade, at which stage it will be updated to ‘Processed’. As soon as your coins are in your wallet, this will be updated to ‘Completed’.
  • In the case of a Sell trade, these will show as ‘Pending’ until they are securely signed by different members of our executive team, at which point they will show as ‘Processed’. As soon as the withdrawal has been executed, this will show as ‘Complete’ instantly.
